Interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall continues to pound the table to have Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic scrapped.

Since capturing the interim gold after knocking out Sergei Pavlovich in the co-main event of UFC 295 back in November, Aspinall has criticized the planned Jones vs. Miocic matchup. Aspinall would've never had an interim title shot if "Bones," who is the main heavyweight champion, hadn't suffered an injury before the scheduled Miocic battle.

UFC CEO Dana White has said that he will not be booking Aspinall to fight Jones next, as he still wants to go through with his initial plans. Aspinall hasn't been taking the news well.

In a series of posts on his X account, Tom Aspinall took aim at Stipe Miocic. He continued to push the narrative that no one wants to see the legacy fight.

Aspinall then dissed Miocic, a future UFC Hall of Famer, for his inactivity.

"Last time Stipe fought and won, GTA: San Andreas had just come out on PS2. He will fight next for the undisputed heavyweight title, ahead of me, who’s the interim champ, active and ranked #1 in the world right now. This makes me quite upset."

Aspinall also said that he hopes the UFC brass sees he's the best option, so that he can jump ahead of Miocic.

"Stipe is one of my favourites. Loads of respect to him his Résumé is far superior to mine rn. That being said the UFC has never been about this. It’s about who’s the best right now, and I believe that’s me and it’s only right I get to prove it #freeaspinall."

Aspinall is clearly struggling playing the wait game.

"Surely if you’re interim champ, your next fight should be to fight for undisputed? Come on."

"Final fun fact: Since stipe last won a fight (Aug ‘20), I have blown my knee out, went thru the rehab process and had a year off, also had 7 UFC fights, including 4 wins vs top 10 ranked opponents and won the interim title on 2 weeks notice."

Finally, Aspinall gave Miocic his due for a legendary career, but then took another swipe at him.

"Absolutely, Stipe has a great Resume and is a legend in his own right. So has Tony [Ferguson]. Maybe we should give him a shot at the undisputed title next too?"

We'll keep you posted with updates on Tom Aspinall, Jon Jones, and Stipe Miocic once they become available.
