Inter secured a 1-0 victory over Juventus at the Stadio Meazza with Benjamin Pavard and Calhanoglu among the best players of the match.

Inter

Sommer 6 – A quiet night for the Swiss keeper.

Pavard 7.5 – Tried to score with a volley, but the ball bounced on Gatti giving Inter the lead. Perfect defensively.

Acerbi 7 – It wasn’t always easy to deal with Vlahovic, but the Italian emerged victorious.

Bastoni 7 – A stunning defensive performance combined with the Grinta of a true leader and the usual dangerous forward runs. Impressive (88′ De Vrij N/A)

Darmian 6.5 – You wouldn’t say he sometimes plays as a central defender. Darmian was so good in defence and attack, and it’s no surprise he was exhausted when he was subbed off. (73′ Dumfries 6).

Barella 7 – Contributed to Inter’s opener but missed an easy chance to double the lead. (88′ Klaassen N/A).

Calhanoglu 7.5 – Excellent passes, stamina, sense of position and vision. Calha was at his best tonight, inspiring Inter’s win with a top-class performance.

Mkhitaryan 7 – Inter moved the ball quickly in the middle of the park and much of the credit goes to the Armenian.

Dimarco 6.5 – One of the best crossers in the league. He gave Juventus a hard time, especially in the first half. (72′ Carlos Augusto 6.5)

Thuram 7 – Another selfless performance from the French striker who led all Inter counter-attacks and forced Gatti to an own goal. (77′ Arnautovic 5).

Lautaro Martinez 6.5 – This time, he didn’t score, but Inter always relied on their captain, with and without the ball.

Coach: Inzaghi 7 – Inter dominated Juventus and deserved to win. Four points clear and a game in hand. Perhaps, they have half Scudetto in their pocket already.

Juventus

Szczesny 8 – Two incredible saves on Barella and Arnautovic in the second half.

Gatti 5 – It wasn’t just the own goal. The Italian struggled to cope with Inter’s strikers in the first 60 minutes. Confused. (87′ Alex Sandro N/A)

Bremer 7.5 – Another solid performance from the Brazilian who won most duels with Inter forwards, but it wasn’t enough for Juve.

Danilo 6.5 – A yellow card in the first half didn’t prevent him from facing Inter strikers with no fear.

Cambiaso 5.5 – Some good touches, but enough consistency. (87′ Miretti N/A)

McKennie 5.5 – He inspired Juventus’ most dangerous move in the first half, but lost many duels and didn’t have enough quality with the ball. (89′ Alcaraz N/A)

Locatelli 6 – Decent defensive performance, composed on the ball.

Rabiot 5.5 – Good physicality, but the Frenchman lacked vision and unpredictability in the final third.

Kostic 5 – A lovely backheel move to dribble past Darmian in the first half was the highlight of his game. There were too many wrong passes until he was subbed off halfway through the second half. (65′ Weah 6)

Yildiz 5 – The start was promising, but Inter midfielders and defenders quickly learned his movements, leaving him no space to hurt. (65′ Chiesa 5.5)

Vlahovic 4.5 –  The Serbia international looked quite irritable and missed the best chance of the game for Juve with a terrible first touch.

Coach: Allegri 5 – Juventus were way too defensive in the first half, but it’s no surprise this was the plan. Juventus didn’t create enough to deserve at least a draw.
